Eau Claire, WI — January 15th, 2026 — Today, Eric Wilson announced that he is suspending his campaign for Wisconsin State Treasurer, effective immediately.

“Wisconsin values mean putting people first—starting with our families,” Wilson said. “A statewide campaign demands full focus and resources. After thoughtful consideration, and in light of family health matters which require my immediate attention, I determined that continuing at this moment would not allow me to mount the strong, competitive campaign Wisconsin voters deserve. Stepping back now is the responsible and honest decision.”

Wilson thanked supporters, volunteers, and community leaders across the state who helped build a broad, grassroots coalition focused on accountability, transparency, and fairness in state government.

“While this campaign is pausing, my commitment to Wisconsin is not,” Wilson said. “I am proud of the coalition we built and energized by the conversations we started. I will continue working to advance policies which strengthen our communities, protect taxpayers, and ensure state government works for working families. This is not the end of my public service—it is a moment to refocus and move forward.”
