MADISON, Wis. (June 16, 2026) – Wisconsin Housing Preservation Corp. (WHPC), a leading nonprofit dedicated to preserving and expanding affordable housing throughout Wisconsin, has announced the appointment of Nicole Solheim as Vice President of Development.

In her new role, Solheim will lead development and acquisition initiatives that support WHPC’s continued growth while advancing its mission to provide quality affordable and workforce housing opportunities for Wisconsin families, seniors, and individuals.

“Nicole brings a unique combination of development expertise, strategic leadership, and deep commitment to affordable housing,” said Mike Slavish, President of WHPC. “Her experience navigating complex housing projects and building strong partnerships will be instrumental as we continue expanding our impact across Wisconsin.”

With more than 15 years of experience in affordable housing development, finance, and community revitalization, Solheim has built a distinguished career focused on creating housing solutions that strengthen communities.

Most recently, she led housing development efforts as Senior Vice President for Cinnaire Solutions, overseeing projects that expanded affordable housing opportunities statewide. Her previous leadership roles include serving as Executive Director of Wisconsin Partnership for Housing Development, where she directed statewide housing initiatives, development consulting, advocacy efforts, and property management programs.

Solheim holds a Master of Science in Urban and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Real Estate and Urban Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
