BROOKFIELD, WI — The Wisconsin Muslim Civic Alliance (WMCA), in partnership with the Muslim Women’s Coalition (MWC) and ISM Brookfield, will host “Open Doors: Meet Your Muslim Neighbors,” a free community open house, on Wednesday, September 9 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at ISM Brookfield, 16670 Pheasant Dr, Brookfield, WI 53005.

The event offers residents of Brookfield and neighboring communities, including New Berlin, Waukesha, and Wauwatosa an opportunity to tour the mosque, meet local Muslims, and ask questions about Islam and the Muslim community in an open, welcoming setting.

The invitation comes at a time when the Muslim community in the region has faced heightened scrutiny following inflammatory social media posts by New Berlin Mayor Dave Ament. Organizers say the event reflects their continued commitment to dialogue and transparency rather than division.

“Our doors are open,” organizers said. “We would rather build relationships with our neighbors than let misinformation and hostility define how our community is seen.”

The event is free and open to the public. No RSVP is required.
