Wisconsin Right to Life is pleased to announce the appointment of Sam Marshall as its new Director of Advocacy, Policy & Political Affairs. Marshall brings hands-on legislative experience and a deep commitment to pro-life policy.
Marshall earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Pre-Law, with a minor in History, from Wisconsin Lutheran College. Prior to joining WRTL, she served as a Legislative Aide to Senator Howard Marklein, where she gained direct experience in the legislative process and public policy. Her passion for pro-life issues was shaped in part by her work as a respite care provider for foster children during college, an experience that gave her a firsthand understanding of the vulnerable lives WRTL exists to protect.
“Sam brings exactly the combination of policy experience and personal conviction that this role requires,” said Heather Weininger, Executive Director of Wisconsin Right to Life. “She has first-hand knowledge of how the legislative process works, she cares deeply about protecting life, and she is ready to step up and meet this moment. We are thrilled to welcome her to the team.”
“We are also deeply grateful to Gracie Skogman, who served in this role with exceptional dedication since 2021,” continued Weininger. “Gracie’s sharp policy mind and tireless advocacy helped advance the pro-life cause in Wisconsin in meaningful ways, and her impact will be felt for years to come.”
Marshall expressed enthusiasm for the work ahead. “Protecting human life has never been just a policy position for me, it is a calling,” Marshall said. “I am honored to join Wisconsin Right to Life and to fight alongside so many dedicated advocates for the pro-life cause in Wisconsin.”
