RIVER FALLS, WI, September 18, 2026…The Wisconsin Sporting Alliance today announced that State Representative Shannon Zimmerman (R–River Falls) has been selected to receive the organization’s Conservation Partner Award for his support of policies benefiting Wisconsin’s hunters, anglers, outdoor enthusiasts and natural resources.

The Conservation Partner Award is presented to public officials who have demonstrated a commitment to working with Wisconsin’s sporting community and advancing legislation that supports conservation, outdoor recreation and the state’s proud sporting heritage.

“Representative Zimmerman has been a dependable partner on issues affecting Wisconsin sportsmen and women,” said Craig Peterson, executive director of the Wisconsin Sporting Alliance. “His support for responsible conservation and Wisconsin’s outdoor traditions has earned the appreciation of our organization.”

Hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation are integral to Wisconsin’s economy, culture and quality of life. The Wisconsin Sporting Alliance supports policies that preserve these traditions while protecting wildlife habitat, clean water and public access for future generations.

The Wisconsin Sporting Alliance works with elected officials across Wisconsin to encourage sound conservation policy and strengthen the state’s outdoor legacy.
