MADISON, WI – The University of Wisconsin–Madison chapter of Young Americans for Freedom and the Tommy G. Thompson Center on Public Leadership are excited to announce that the Right Honourable Boris Johnson will visit campus on March 23 to deliver a lecture on why the West is worth saving. The event is part of the Young America’s Foundation campus lecture series.

The Rt. Hon. Boris Johnson, who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 2019 to 2022, led the Conservative Party to its largest parliamentary majority since 1987, securing unprecedented support in areas traditionally held by other parties. He also played a central role in navigating the United Kingdom through Brexit, the COVID-19 pandemic, and major geopolitical shifts in Europe.

“We are incredibly honored to host the Rt. Hon. Boris Johnson,” said Courtney Graves, chairwoman of Wisconsin Young Americans for Freedom. “Students and community members will have a rare opportunity to hear from a world leader and learn how the United States and United Kingdom can work together to preserve Western values and civilization.”

“We’re delighted to partner with Young Americans for Freedom to bring such a distinguished guest to campus. Mr. Johnson offers a unique perspective on the challenges facing Western democracies today,” says Alexander Tahk, Director of the Tommy G. Thompson Center.

The event will start promptly at 6:30 PM, and doors open at 5:30 PM. Location will be announced soon. It is open to the public.
