MADISON, Wis. — Just under a year ago, the Democratic Party of Wisconsin launched the Governor Readiness Project, an endeavor that has been raising resources and building a campaign infrastructure for whoever wins the nomination. Now, with 24 hours before the polls close, the WisDems are fully prepared to launch whoever wins the primary.

“WisDems has spent nearly a year getting ready to launch our Democratic nominee for governor, and we’re ready to go 100 miles an hour out of the gate for whoever wins tomorrow and to defeat MAGA extremist Congressman Tom Tiffany,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Devin Remiker. “Wisconsin’s future, and the very fate of our democracy in 2028 could come down to who wins in November. We will unite behind our nominee and spend every minute from now to November doing everything we can to defeat MAGA extremist Congressman Tom Tiffany who has done nothing but raise costs and gut healthcare for Wisconsinites over his nearly two-decade political career.”

Wisconsin Democrats have won 17 statewide races since 2018, including a historic 20-point Supreme Court victory this past April. This included flipping 29 counties that Trump won, securing over 50% of the vote in Ozaukee for the first time since 1964 and winning the Waukesha mayoral race

Tom Tiffany enters the general election in an incredibly weak position given the fact:

  • Since Trump endorsed him in January 2026, Congressman Tiffany has not had a competitive primary race.
  • Tiffany is currently spending millions of dollars in positive advertising, and yet 30% of likely Republican voters are still unsure if they want him as their nominee.
  • Billionaires continue to pour money into Tiffany’s campaign to buy him, with nearly 90% of the money from his last campaign finance report coming from two election denier-supporting billionaires.
  • MAGA extremist Congressman Tom Tiffany has voted with Trump 100% of the time — rubber-stamping the MAGA agenda that is driving up inflation and protecting tariff taxes that are raising the costs of everyday goods and hurting Wisconsin farms and businesses.
  • Despite claiming he would “stop Wall Street” from buying up homes and cut red tape to make housing more affordable in Wisconsin, on three separate occasions, Tiffany skipped votes in Congress on a bill that would do just that this year.
  • Tom Tiffany voted for MAGA policies that have increased costs for the average American family by nearly $181 on utility bills in 2025.
  • Congressman Tom Tiffany has worked to keep healthcare more expensive and less accessible for Wisconsinites his whole career. In the State Senate, Tiffany voted against expanding BadgerCare, and in Congress, he voted with MAGA to gut the Affordable Care Act which nearly 300,000 Wisconsinites rely on.
