MADISON, Wis. — GOP candidate for governor Tom Tiffany, who announced his run for governor on Dan O’Donnell’s radio show, has still not condemned O’Donnell’s call for the assassination of Minnesota governor Tim Walz. O’Donnell was pulled off the air for nearly a week following his comments even as other Wisconsin media personalities called for him to step aside

“Tom Tiffany has not condemned Dan O’Donnell’s disgusting and alarming remarks simply because he doesn’t see anything wrong with them. Tom Tiffany is more concerned about protecting his fringe political allies than standing up to threats of political violence,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “Tiffany follows the rules of the swamp he learned in D.C. with Trump. Of course Wisconsinites don’t trust him to keep them safe. The question is, how long until he goes back on the show?”

Tiffany has a close relationship with O’Donnell—he has appeared on the radio show at least 10 times and O’Donnell has even bragged about Tiffany giving him exclusives about plans to run for office. Tiffany has made four appearances already since he announced his run for governor on O’Donnell’s show.
