MADISON, Wis. — Earlier today, conservative Justice Annette Ziegler announced she will not seek reelection in 2027. This is even more shocking after last summer’s announcement that conservative Justice Rebecca Bradley would not seek reelection. In response, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Devin Remiker released the following statement:

“Wisconsin Republicans know a resounding rejection of their war on working people in service of their billionaire owners is coming this November and are heading for early retirement. Ziegler’s retirement is more proof that this is a five-alarm fire for the GOP and is a testament to the incredible work that WisDems and our grassroots leaders across Wisconsin have done to organize everywhere and take no election for granted. No quarter will be given to any Republican running for re-election who stands by Trump and his disastrous agenda should they choose not to join Rebecca Bradley, Annette Ziegler, Rob Hutton, and Robin Vos in an early retirement.”
