MADISON, Wis. — During a Truth Social endorsement spree in January, Trump endorsed two election deniers—Wisconsin gubernatorial GOP presumed nominee Tom Tiffany and Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Stacy Garrity. Trump also voiced support the previous month for Mike Lindell, another 2020 election denier and Trump ally.
In Pennsylvania, it’s been reported Garrity made a shady promise to Trump in exchange for his “coveted” endorsement, which she “landed Trump’s support by answering a single question.” Prior to Trump’s endorsement of his campaign, Tiffany “had been in communication with the White House for a while” through Tony Fabrizio, Trump’s pollster who was hired by the Tiffany campaign.
“Tom Tiffany and Stacy Garrity have two things in common—election denialism and a Trump endorsement,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey. “What could Tiffany have promised Trump that he hasn’t already done for him? What could a potential Trump lackey future governor be promising a president who thinks democracy is optional?”
