MADISON, Wis. — In response to Donald Trump signing an executive order cracking down on mail-in voting, Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Devin Remiker released the following statement:
“Facing a wave of backlash over a failing economy and a disastrous war, Trump is now attempting to seize control of our elections— including the very early voting that is open across Wisconsin right now through April 3rd, setting the stage to rig the midterm for Trump’s fellow election denier and absentee voter, Tom Tiffany.
By electing Judge Chris Taylor to our Supreme Court on April 7th, we can send a shockwave across this nation: a clear, unmistakable rebuke of Trump’s authoritarian takeover.
All eyes are on Wisconsin. Treat this like the emergency it is. Bring friends, family, and neighbors to early vote and know you are defying Trump’s takeover with each and every ballot cast. There is only one way out of this. Forward.”
