MADISON, Wis. — Tariff Tom and his gang of Trump yes-men once again voted to shiv Wisconsin’s economy, voting to allow the president to wage his never ending tariff war that is fueling the affordability crisis. In response to the vote, Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Emily Stuckey released the following statement:
“Wisconsin Republicans, led by GOP gubernatorial presumptive nominee tariff-lover Tom Tiffany, are in lockstep with Trump’s chaotic trade war and wholeheartedly support the tariff-taxes driving up costs for working people. If this is how Tom Tiffany is going to lead Wisconsin Republicans, imagine the damage he would do to our economy as governor following the Trump playbook that created this affordability crisis. Wisconsin deserves a governor who will serve Wisconsinites, not some wannabe king.”

- House Republicans, including Wisconsin’s entire delegation, voted in near lockstep Tuesday to again cede congressional power over tariffs to President Donald Trump.

- When Tom Tiffany was asked about his support of tariffs, he said “I’m in support of the president’s policies.”
