MADISON, Wis. – The growing ethics scandal surrounding Democrat David Crowley just keeps getting worse. While Crowley claims he “went above and beyond to disclose” that his wife worked for a nonprofit to which he funneled millions in taxpayer dollars, it turns out that’s not true.
Crowley reportedly steered $17.8 Million to the nonprofit that employed his wife before his conflict was disclosed. The inconsistency between Crowley’s actions and his explanations raises serious concerns just weeks before Election Day.
“Corrupt Crowley didn’t disclose an apparent conflict of interest until millions of taxpayer dollars had already been approved and sent to his wife’s employer. This further proves what we already knew: Crowley can’t be trusted to watch over our tax dollars. After spending years taxing Milwaukee County families and spending their money on his own agenda and interests, the evidence just keeps growing that Crowley is unfit to lead Wisconsin.” said WisGOP Chairman Brian Schimming.
