MADISON, WI – Democrat David Crowley’s attempts to rewrite his long record of hiking taxes on Milwaukee County families have been so feeble that even his hometown paper is calling him out. A new fact check by The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel asked whether taxes have “generally increased” under his tenure as County Executive. 

Their answer: “Yes.”

While Crowley’s campaign has tried to spin the fiction that he’s reduced taxes, his record is clear. He has repeatedly raised property and sales taxes since taking office, burdening working families with more expenses at a time they can least afford them.

Crowley campaigns on affordability, but he’s spent his career making life more expensive for Milwaukee families. Why should we trust a word he says?
