MADISON, WI — David Crowley wants Wisconsin voters to believe he is a moderate, but the company he keeps continues to tell a very different story.

The Heartland Post reports that the Human Rights Campaign PAC has endorsed Crowley for governor after years of opposing Republican efforts in Wisconsin to restrict taxpayer funding for gender-transition procedures, prohibit certain gender-transition procedures for minors, protect girls’ sports and strengthen parental rights.

The Heartland Post: “Far-Left Group That Pushed Taxpayer-Funded Gender Transitions for Minors Endorses Crowley”

According to the story:

“David Crowley’s latest endorsement is coming from a national left-wing organization that has spent years fighting Wisconsin Republicans over gender-transition procedures for minors, girls’ sports and parental rights.”

The Human Rights Campaign opposed a Wisconsin budget provision that would have prohibited Medicaid funding for gender-reassignment surgery and puberty blockers used for gender transition. The organization also opposed legislation restricting gender-transition surgeries, puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones for minors.
And it didn’t stop there.

The group fought Republican efforts to protect women’s and girls’ sports based on biological sex and opposed Wisconsin’s Parents’ Bill of Rights, which sought to give parents greater authority over their children’s education, health care and decisions involving names and pronouns at school.

Now, they’re backing David Crowley.

“David Crowley can call himself a moderate all he wants, but Wisconsin families should pay attention to the far-left groups lining up behind him,” said Republican Party of Wisconsin Chairman Brian Schimming. “These are activists who fought to keep taxpayers on the hook for gender-transition procedures, opposed protections for girls’ sports and fought against giving parents a greater say in their children’s lives. Crowley’s allies are showing Wisconsin exactly what kind of governor he would be.”

Crowley’s own record gives voters even more reason to question his moderate makeover. As a state legislator, Crowley co-sponsored legislation creating a taxpayer-funded Transgender Equality Task Force that would have examined state policies ranging from health care and K-12 education to policing, housing and employment.
The contrast for Wisconsin families could not be clearer.

David Crowley will stand with the far-left activists backing his campaign. Tom Tiffany will stand with parents, protect girls’ sports and put Wisconsin families first.
