MADISON, WI – Wisconsin Republicans joined tens of thousands of fellow conservatives in Dallas this week for the first midterm convention in Republican Party history: a two-day showcase of President Donald Trump’s record, the Republican agenda, and the candidates who will protect it on November 3.

Chairman Brian Schimming led the Wisconsin delegation, which included 17 delegates, 16 alternates, and guests. The gathering at American Airlines Center put working families, rural communities, border security, tax relief, and affordable healthcare front and center, the same priorities Wisconsin Republicans have fought for at home.

“Wisconsin put President Trump over the top on election night in 2024,” Chairman Schimming said. “This week we stood with Republicans from all 50 states to make sure that same grassroots energy carries us through November. The choice is clear: keep building on Republicans’ results or hand the country over to the radical Democrats who want to undo it.”

Rep. Van Orden addressed the convention on opening night, highlighting rural healthcare investments secured under President Trump and the Working Families Tax Cut. He pointed to real results for Wisconsin hospitals and BadgerCare, and underscored the next fight: lower prescription costs, price transparency, and holding insurance companies accountable.

The convention featured more than 100 speakers across two nights, including President Trump, Vice President JD Vance, House Speaker Mike Johnson, Cabinet officials, and candidates from competitive races. Programming focused on no tax on tips, overtime, and Social Security; domestic manufacturing; secure borders; public safety; and the contrast between Republican results and Democrat extremism.

“This historic Convention was a reminder of how Republicans delivered for the American people and how we will continue to deliver,” Chairman Schimming said. “The choice this November is clear: common sense versus chaos.”

Wisconsin Republicans now turn fully to the homestretch: protecting our congressional delegation, flipping the governor’s office, and holding the Legislature so the America First agenda can keep delivering for Wisconsin families.
