President Donald Trump won the Wisconsin Republican straw poll at the state’s GOP convention.
WisPolitics reported that “just under 53 percent” of Republicans participating in the straw poll said they backed President Trump in the presidential race. DeSantis was second with 34 percent.
This is a net 25 percent gain for President Trump since the 2022 Wisconsin GOP straw poll, which Ron DeSantis won.
