Madison, WI – Representative Ellen Schutt (R-Clinton) issued the following statement following the passage of the 2023-25 state budget:
“The state budget that passed yesterday provides a record tax cut, reduces debt, and funds Wisconsinite’s shared priorities.
“This budget provides much-needed relief to hardworking taxpayers by delivering a $4.4 billion tax cut, with an average 15% income tax reduction per person.
“Through significant investments in education, local roads, police, fire, and EMS, health care, and mental health services, this budget addresses the priorities that will keep Wisconsin on the path towards success.”

The budget will now head to Governor Evers for final approval.
