Milwaukee, WI – Today the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced stronger particulate matter standards that will help rid Wisconsin’s air of deadly pollution and limit climate change. The new National Ambient Air Quality Standards for particulate matter are 9 micrograms per cubic meter (µg/m3) for the annual standard and 35 µg/m3 for the 24-hour standard.
