WISCONSIN – Following yesterday’s April 1st Spring elections where the election process ran smoothly despite some challenges from Mother Nature and the voters passed the Voter ID constitutional amendment, members of the Democracy Defense Project Wisconsin board, including former Attorney General JB Van Hollen, Former Lieutenant Governor Mandela Barnes, Former U.S. Representative Scott Klug and former Democratic Party of Wisconsin Chair Mike Tate released the following joint statement:
“Wisconsin elections are important as ever and we will continue to have all eyes on us as we head into another election cycle. Just as we saw in November, yesterday was a resounding endorsement of the security of our election system. Everything ran smoothly despite challenges from Mother Nature. Wisconsin has some of the most robust protections against voter fraud in the country, including provisions like ID requirements that are now in the state constitution, which are promoted by some of those folks casting doubt on our process. Wisconsin will not fall victim to the claims of outside influencers.”
