MADISON, Wis. – Today, the Wisconsin State Assembly came together to vote on a series of bills, ranging from recognizing mental health struggles to commemorating Hmong-Lao Veterans Day. Rep. Palmeri released the following statement:

“Today, we were able to pass a lot of good, bipartisan legislation that will move this state forward, and I am really proud of that. With issues ranging from mental health to access to contraception, there were strong bipartisan votes that passed legislation that will help all Wisconsinites. It’s days like this that remind me why I wanted to come to Madison in the first place: to find common ground to help all our constituents.

“While we did some great work today, we have a long way to go to assist Wisconsinites across the state. Recognizing the importance of the Joint Committee on Finance stripping more than 600 provisions from the Governor’s Budget last week, I am hoping we will work together to restore these popular, commonsense items in the budget to help all Wisconsinites.”
