MADISON, Wis. – In case you missed it, the Republican Party of Wisconsin hosted its 2025 State Convention on Saturday in Rothschild, Wisconsin. A crowd of more than 600 delegates, alternates, and other attendees filled the Convention Center for the event. State Representative Pat Snyder served as Convention Chairman and oversaw the proceedings.

The weekend began on Friday with Grassroots Workshops for activists interested in gaining more skills to assist the party in 2026 operations. The various sessions covered a variety of topics from election integrity to messaging and more. “We want to make sure our activists have the knowledge they need to lead their teams and bring victories to Republicans on the local to state level,” WisGOP Executive Director Andrew Iverson said. “Every grassroots activist is needed in the fight to defeat the Democrats, and it is encouraging to see so many dedicated to our mission.”

The first speaker of Saturday’s ceremonies was Senator Ron Johnson, who spoke about the need to cut federal spending and stay united as a party.

Next, we had our Congressional Delegation go on the stage. A recurring theme was the success of the Trump Administration and the need for Republicans to continue fighting for common-sense policies.

Congressman Tiffany highlighted lower inflation and grocery prices. Congressman Steil discussed the need for the SAVE Act. Congressman Van Orden called on Republicans to work together to defeat the Democrats. Congressman Tony Weid and Glenn Grothman spoke about the need to support President Trump’s agenda.

Our state legislative panel was a huge hit with discussions on Tony Evers’ far-left budget and the Republican fight for a common-sense budget. State Treasurer John Leiber hosted the panel with Senator Devin Lemahieu and Representative Mark Born.

Special guest speaker Congresswoman Nancy Mace (R-SC) received an enthusiastic welcome from Wisconsin. “I’m so proud of you, Wisconsin,” stated Representative Nancy Mace. “I want to thank the Chairman, Brian Schimming, for his dedication and the Republican Party of Wisconsin’s dedication to President Donald J. Trump. He won bigger here, the biggest since Ronald Reagan. You did that! Wisconsin did that!”

Following Nancy Mace, Chairman Brian Schimming brought Governor Tommy Thompson to the stage. Governor Thompson shared how Wisconsin delivered the presidency to President Trump. “I said, ‘Mr. President, we carried Wisconsin for you and we put you over the bubble.”

Next up was State Treasurer John Leiber, who discussed his plans for the Post-Election Commission and the need to learn, grow, adapt, and WIN in 2026. “How can we use this experience, learn from it, and win in 2026,” stated State Treasurer John Leiber. “I want to focus on solutions. I want to focus on what we can do better.”

Republican Party of Wisconsin Chairman Brian Schimming shared his plans to move the party forward and how we will win in 2026. “There was a clear desire to win in the air, and our grassroots are ready to organize and prepare for the next election,” Schimming said. “After this weekend, Wisconsin Republicans are unified and ready to bring the fight to Democrats in 2026.”

The delegates closed out the Convention by voting on resolutions.
