New analysis from the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office (CBO) finds that the House Republican budget bill – supported by Bryan Steil and Derrick Van Orden – will force middle class Wisconsinites to foot the bill for huge tax breaks to billionaires.
The CBO report on the bill finds that the poorest 10% of Americans will see their household resources reduced, while the richest will see their resources increase.
This new analysis comes as Van Orden and Steil have been lying to Wisconsinites about this bill’s true agenda of slashing Medicaid, risking health care coverage for 523,000 Wisconsinites, and gutting the SNAP programs that 284,984 Wisconsinites depend on – all so they can pay for tax breaks for the richest Americans.
