Madison, WI – Rep. Scott Allen (R-Waukesha), along with Rep. Adam Neylon (R-Pewaukee), introduced a budget motion to allocate just over $11 million in one-time funding for road projects in the City of Waukesha. This underscores a commitment to improving infrastructure, enhancing safety, and fostering regional collaboration.

The budget motion directs the Wisconsin Department of Transportation to award three grants to the City of Waukesha for the following projects:

  • North Street and W. St. Paul Avenue Reconstruction ($4,920,000) – This critical project includes intersection reconstruction, traffic signal upgrades, and the second phase of a two-way conversion. In partnership with Waukesha County, the project will plan future roadway improvements along CTH F, ensuring seamless regional transportation infrastructure.
  • N. University Drive Reconstruction ($5,060,000) – The reconstruction of N. University Drive from Summit Avenue to Northview Road will build on $1.5 million in existing Local Road Improvement Program (LRIP) funding from WisDOT.
  • Davidson Road Reconstruction ($1,080,000) – This project will reconstruct Davidson Road from Main Street to the city limits, in coordination with the Town of Brookfield, which has secured LRIP funding for its section. This collaborative effort will enhance connectivity and road quality across municipal boundaries.

“These projects are important to the City of Waukesha’s growth and safety,” said Rep. Allen. “As the county seat, Waukesha serves the entire county. By investing in our roads and fostering collaboration with neighboring municipalities, we’re enhancing critical infrastructure and maintaining a connected community.”
