Rep. Scott Allen (R-Waukesha) released the following statement regarding “No Kings Day”:
“Every June 14 we celebrate Flag Day as a national observance that recognizes ‘Old Glory’ as an enduring symbol of freedom, sacrifice, and patriotism. This year’s Flag Day also marks the 250th birthday of the U.S. Army. Across America, true patriots will hoist the American flag high, its vibrant colors waving proudly in the breeze, a testament to our unity and strength.
“Not everyone will join this chorus of pride. In places like Los Angeles, shadowy groups—allegedly backed by Marxist Chinese Communist Party operatives—have been seen waving foreign flags, like those of Mexico and Ukraine, in a blatant rejection of our nation’s sovereignty. They may claim to champion ‘no one is above the law,’ yet their protests spiral into chaos, undermining the rule of law. Meanwhile, others rally under the so-called ‘No Kings Day,’ a movement reportedly fueled by leftwing, open-border globalists who scorn America’s values. These organizers peddle a twisted narrative, painting President Trump as a dictator while ignoring the will of the people.
“President Trump, chosen by over 77 million Americans in a resounding victory, is fulfilling his campaign promise to secure our borders and deport illegal aliens. He didn’t write the immigration laws—Congress and past presidents did—but he’s enforcing them with the mandate of the people. Those who cry ‘dictator’ aren’t just attacking Trump; they’re spitting in the face of the voters who entrusted him and our national pride in the rule of law. That’s not democracy—it’s defiance.
“America settled the score with tyranny on July 4, 1776, when we declared our independence from monarchy. That was our ‘No Kings Day,’ and we’ve been free people ever since.
“So, this Flag Day, let’s ignore the naysayers and fill our nation’s neighborhoods with red, white, and blue! In Waukesha and beyond, raise Old Glory high and show the world that the American spirit burns brighter than ever.
“Fly that flag with pride—because this is our home, our land, our America!”
