Outgoing Democratic Party Chair Ben Wikler slammed President Donald Trump’s administration in his opening speech at the state party convention today and praised the national protests against Trump.
“Today was so powerful because today at this convention and this country, we saw that we are in this together,” Wikler said about the national “No Kings” protests happening today.
Wikler knocked Trump for acting like a dictator and king, but encouraged Democrats that they “would get past these years.”
“The Trump administration will end one day,” Wikler said, to which the crowd erupted in cheers.
