Milwaukee, WI – Reproductive Justice Action-Milwaukee will be hosting a march and panel on Sunday, June 22nd at 11am, at North Point Water Tower, 2288 N Lake Dr followed by tabling and panel discussions hosted at Zao Church at 1pm, 2319 E Kenwood Blvd. In a continued response to the overturn of Roe V. Wade three years ago, we will show out to remind the community that reproductive rights are human rights and to inform elected officials everywhere that our community will not sit back and be idle. Abortion care and gender-affirming care is here to stay in Wisconsin.
We seek to commemorate the three year anniversary of the Dobbs decision from the US Supreme Court, which completely removed federal protections for abortion rights. Living in a post-Dobbs world has only proven that the overturning of Roe v. Wade has been catastrophic. Abortion is more inaccessible than ever before. The supreme court ruling has caused women and birthing people to have to jump through hoops for bodily control. Join RJA-M as we demand unrestricted access to abortion including no mandatory waiting periods, the right to telehealth services, abortion access beyond 22 weeks and access to abortion pills, free of barriers.
We the people understand that our reproductive rights have always been under threat, as legislative bans continue to be used as desperate attempts to withhold control over our bodies and labor. We demand investment in the prosperity of our health, wellbeing, and environments. We are prepared to care for our communities despite our government’s
commitment not to.
RJA-M is a grassroots organization in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. We are fighting for Reproductive Justice for all humans, and standing in opposition of the system(s) that deny human rights to any person. We are committed to insisting that Milwaukee County provides firm support to all those seeking equitable reproductive healthcare.
