A new statewide slate of officers has been elected by members of DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Department of Wisconsin at their annual convention in Green Bay.

The new DAV Department of Wisconsin commander is Tiffany Koehler of Brown Deer, who replaces Immediate Past Commander Greg Palo of Red Granite. Other newly elected department officers are:

Barbara Belmont, Menasha, Chapter 17, senior vice commander
August Grulich, Racine, Chapter 9, 1st junior vice commander
Rolly Gelhaus, Neillsville, Chapter 57 , department judge advocate
Rob Hilliard, Tomah, Chapter 27 , department benefit protection leader

Commander Koehler, a member of DAV Chapter 19 in Milwaukee, has been a
Lifetime member of DAV since 2017. She is a disabled U.S. Army veteran.

She served over the course of three eras: the Cold War, the Gulf War, and Operation Enduring Freedom as a locomotive movement coordinator, and retraining to become a behavioral science specialist.

Koehler graduated from Cardinal Stritch University with a bachelor’s degree in political science and has master’s in social work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Helen Bader School of Social Welfare.
