Madison, WI — Americans for Prosperity-Wisconsin (AFP-WI) has launched a grassroots campaign urging Wisconsinites to call and thank U.S. Rep. Bryan Steil for standing strong to defend our hard-earned money by supporting the renewal of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA).

Wisconsinites are at risk of bearing crippling tax hikes if Congress does not renew President Trump’s tax cuts before the end of 2025. If the TCJA is not renewed, the average Wisconsin family will see a $2,099 tax hike, and individuals across all income levels will be affected. Tax hikes would stifle economic growth, leading to job losses and fewer opportunities to earn higher wages, costing the state over 14,000 jobs. Thankfully, Rep. Bryan Steil has taken the first step toward making these tax cuts permanent.

AFP-WI State Director Megan Novak released the following statement:

“Already struggling with the lingering effects of Bidenomics, Wisconsinites have made their voices clear—we can’t afford a $2,099 tax hike. Our best-in-class grassroots army is fully prepared to encourage voters to express their gratitude for Rep. Bryan Steil’s work protecting our pocketbooks. Our families, our businesses, and our livelihoods depend on it.”
