Madison – Representative Barbara Dittrich (R-Oconomowoc) thanks her legislative colleagues for passing the budget and having it signed into law early this morning by the Governor. Representing the 99th Assembly District, Rep. Dittrich championed key investments that strengthen families, schools, and local infrastructure across Wisconsin.

“I’m honored to have voted for a budget that prioritizes the needs of my district and communities I’m passionate about, including the developmentally disabled,” said Dittrich. “In my four terms in the legislature, we have never worked harder on negotiating the most conservative budget possible for taxpayers. This budget delivers meaningful solutions for Wisconsinites, ensuring a brighter future for all.”

Key Budget Wins Advocated by Rep. Dittrich:

  • Tax Relief for ALL Wisconsinites, Especially Retirees: These cuts total $1.3 billion by expanding the second income tax bracket and providing tax-free retirement income up to the first $48,000 of income per couple.
  • Recovery High Schools: Increased funding for programs Dittrich authored in 2023 Wisconsin Act 72, supporting students recovering from substance abuse.
  • Special Needs Dental Care: Dedicated funding for high-cost dental services for individuals with developmental disabilities, easing family burdens.
  • Neosho Dam Repair: Secured funds to repair the Village of Neosho’s dam for the Neosho Millpond.

“From returning your money to recovery programs, special needs care, and critical infrastructure, this budget addresses the needs of my constituents and beyond,” Dittrich said. “I’m proud to fight for solutions that make a real difference. My constituents will start to see the positive impact of this budget in the coming days.”
