MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers today appointed Jodi Kummet as Barron County Sheriff. The appointment fills a vacancy created by Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald’s retirement. Kummet will complete the remainder of the unexpired term that ends January 2027. Her appointment is effective on July 28, 2025.
