Waukesha, WI – August 12, 2025 – Waukesha County continues its coordinated response to the historic flooding that has impacted multiple communities across the county this week. The Emergency Operations Center (EOC) remains fully open and is working closely with municipal leaders, public safety agencies, and public works crews to address ongoing needs.

Key Updates:

  • Centralized Information Hub: Waukesha County Emergency Management has launched an updated disaster information webpage at www.waukeshacounty.gov/disasterinformation. This page will serve as a one-stop source for flood-related information, including links to municipal specific flood webpages as they become available.
  • Property Damage Reports: As of 9:00pm on Monday, August 11th, 211 received 229 reports of property damage throughout Waukesha County.
  • County Road Damage: Preliminary estimates indicate about $2M in damage to county roads. We continue to work with municipalities to assess damage to homes and businesses in the county.
  • Follow for Real-Time Updates: Residents are encouraged to follow Waukesha County Emergency Management on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/WaukCoEM) and monitor the county’s disaster information page for the latest updates, resources, and safety alerts.
  • Ongoing River Monitoring: The Fox River and other waterways remain above flood stage in several areas. Crews continue to monitor conditions and respond to changes as needed.
  • Local Support Efforts: Road closures, debris removal, and safety inspections are ongoing in impacted areas. We are actively working with municipalities to assess and report damage in the county. Residents can check on road closures on the map here: https://tinyurl.com/WaukCoRoads
  • Increased Responder Activity: Residents may notice more emergency and municipal crews in their neighborhoods conducting clean-up, repairs, or flood damage assessments. Please be aware these teams are assisting affected citizens, and traffic in some areas may be heavier as a result.
  • For Assistance:
  • Non-Emergency Help: Call 211 to report property or area damage and to access available flood-related resources.
  • Safety Reminders:
  • Avoid driving or walking through flooded areas.
  • Do not move barricades and barrels that indicate a road is closed. Even if it appears the water has subsided, our crews have not had a chance to check the structural integrity of the road.
  • Monitor official channels for updates before traveling in affected areas.

Waukesha County remains committed to ensuring the safety, well-being, and recovery of our residents. We thank our community members, municipal partners, and first responders for their continued cooperation during this challenging time.
