WHITEFISH BAY, Wisc. — Bill Berrien is standing strong behind President Trump’s efforts to drive reindustrialization through tariffs. The former Navy SEAL, Wisconsin manufacturer, and Republican gubernatorial candidate is highlighting recent moves by companies to return manufacturing to the U.S. and is outlining his plan to work with the Trump administration to make Wisconsin the epicenter of this new growth and opportunity.
“President Trump’s tariffs are a game-changer for Wisconsin,” said Berrien. “Major companies are investing in America and our workforce again, thanks to President Trump’s policies. I went all in on Wisconsin with Pindel Global Precision, and I’m the only candidate in this race who can leverage the 125-year-old manufacturing infrastructure and the highly trained, highly trainable workforce already existing in the Badger State to make our state the epicenter of the American reindustrialization that’s taking place right now.”
This follows news that several companies are making a return to the United States. This week, GE announced plans to invest $3 billion in the United States, pulling manufacturing away from China and Mexico. This followed a $2 billion investment from Milwaukee-based Rockwell Automation in Wisconsin, and other companies like Apple.
Berrien’s vision for Wisconsin includes replicating this success statewide by harnessing Trump’s tariffs to incentivize businesses to invest in local manufacturing. By lowering taxes for workers, families, and small businesses, while cutting red tape, Berrien aims to make Wisconsin the most competitive state for starting, growing, or relocating a business.
