Madison, WI – Representative Cindi Duchow (R-Delafield) announced today that her office is now accepting nominations for the 97th Assembly District’s First Responder of the Year Award. The Award recognizes a police officer or sheriff’s deputy, firefighter, or EMS provider who has gone above and beyond the call of duty.
“The first responders of the 97th Assembly District serve and protect our communities every day,” Duchow said. “This is our chance to thank the dedicated men and women who keep us safe and to honor those who are truly exceptional.”
Nominations are open through September 19. Nominees must live or work within the 97th Assembly District and may be recognized for a specific heroic act, significant personal achievement, outstanding community involvement tied to their duties, length of service, or a cumulative body of work. One honoree will be selected and recognized at a ceremony at the State Capitol in October.
