MADISON, WI – Yesterday, State Representative Jenna Jacobson and State Senator Brad Pfaff held a press conference in Madison talking about their new back-to-school tax holiday legislation and their commitment to lowering costs for Wisconsin’s working families.

The bill would create a 3 day tax holiday every august where families would be able to do their back-to-school shopping without paying Wisconsin’s sales tax. Rep. Jacobson and Sen. Pfaff’s announcement was reported across the state, as Wisconsinites are forced to deal with rising prices, and earned support from residents who were asked their thoughts on the bill.

While Rep. Jacobson and Sen. Pfaff called for bipartisan support for this cost-cutting bill, it remains to be seen whether Wisconsin Republicans will step up. Thus far, Sen. Howard Marklein and his friends have failed to take any steps to strengthen Wisconsinites’ bottom line.
