MADISON, Wis. — Today, WisDems greeted WI-03 Congressman Derrick Van Orden at his event with Ohio Congressman Jim Jordan with a mobile billboard highlighting Van Orden’s refusal to hold an in-person town hall. Van Orden has been cowering away from his constituents following his support of the GOP’s Big Ugly Bill, which is ripping away health care from over 30,000 of his constituents.
“Derrick Van Orden can find time to scream at kids, pick fights online, rip health care away from tens of thousands of his constituents, and hit the golf course with his MAGA buddies — but he can’t find time to face the people he’s supposed to represent,” said Democratic Party of Wisconsin spokesperson Philip Shulman. “Without a keyboard to hide behind, Derrick Van Orden won’t meet with, talk to, or engage with his constituents, giving them even more reason to fire him next November.”
