The Democratic Lt. Governors Association (DLGA) announced today that it will invest $2 million next year through an independent expenditure effort to support Lt. Governor Sara Rodriguez’s campaign for Wisconsin governor. This investment marks the largest commitment made to a Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate thus far this cycle, and the largest commitment the DLGA has made to a Lt. Governor running for higher office.
“The DLGA is proud to make this historic $2 million investment in support of Sara Rodriguez’s campaign for Governor—the largest commitment made to a Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate thus far this cycle,” said DLGA Executive Director Kevin Holst. “As Lt. Governor, Sara has led efforts to expand access to affordable healthcare, defend reproductive freedom, and strengthen Wisconsin’s public schools. With the chaos of the Trump administration, rising costs for working families, and mounting threats to our fundamental rights, the stakes in this race could not be higher. The DLGA is proud to stand with Sara Rodriguez as she fights to make history for Wisconsin next year.”
With 31 states with Lt. Governors elections in 2026, and competitive Democratic primaries for Governor and US Senate, the DLGA is seizing on the tremendous opportunity to invest and build up the next generation of Democratic Party leaders.
