Madison… Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) announced the chairs, vice chairs, and members of the four Speaker’s Task Forces for 2025. Each Assembly task force has a Republican chair and a Democratic vice chair.

“The objective is for each bipartisan task force to start their work this fall by talking to experts and individuals who have knowledge on these topics, then recommend legislation to the full Assembly in the spring,” said Speaker Vos. “These issues are important to our state and I am pleased we are taking a bipartisan approach to address each one.”

Speaker’s Task Force on Government Efficiency and Modernization The Speaker’s Task Force on Government Efficiency and Modernization will focus on identifying opportunities to use artificial intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies to streamline operations, reduce redundancy, and lower the overall cost of government.

Speaker’s Task Force on Rulemaking

The Speaker’s Task Force on Rulemaking will identify agency rulemaking authority to be repealed by legislation. The task force will identify agencies that have broad rulemaking authority, including but are not limited to, environmental regulations, building code regulations, and fee setting authority.

Speaker’s Task Force on Elder Services

The Speaker’s Task Force on Elder Services will work to identify ways to improve the quality of life for Wisconsin’s senior population. The task force will focus specifically on services that help seniors maintain independence in their own homes, encourage social interaction and community engagement to combat isolation and loneliness, prioritize physical wellbeing and financial independence, and prevent physical and financial elder abuse.
