MILWAUKEE- For over the past month the Wisconsin Legislative Black Caucus have conducted a statewide listening tour to build a black policy agenda for all to thrive and center black voices in the policy making process who are often overlooked. The tour has generated excitement and civic engagement across Wisconsin. As a result the caucus is announcing its fifth town hall to be held in Beloit on October 30th. Senator Drake the Chair of the Legislative Black Caucus has released the following statement:

“Over the past month we have heard from hundreds of Wisconsinites who are hungry for action to make our state better for everyone. They are tired of the inequality and lack of opportunities to keep up with the cost of living and our ever changing economic environment. Black Wisconsinites who don’t live in Milwaukee often feel forgotten. That’s why we are proud to announce our final town hall in Beloit and invite residents to be a part of this conversation.”

The Wisconsin Legislative Black Caucus will host their final town hall on Thursday October 31st at 5:00 PM at the Beloit Public Library. Beloit area residents can register one eventbrite linked here or at linktr.ee/TheWisconsinBlackCaucus.
