MADISON, WI – Today, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin (PPWI) announced it will resume committing abortions. Wisconsin Family Action (WFA) is deeply saddened by this decision and urges Wisconsin citizens to stand for life and healthcare untainted by abortion.
In October, PPWI paused abortions after federal legislation blocked Medicaid payments to abortion providers. By dropping its federal healthcare designation, PPWI believes it has found a way around the law.
This maneuver reveals what PPWI values most: the ability to perform abortions. The month-long pause was never about serving women—it was about strategizing how to maintain its abortion business while keeping taxpayer dollars flowing. The majority of Americans oppose using tax money to subsidize abortions.
WFA President Daniel Degner stated, “True compassion never kills—it comes alongside mothers, fathers, and children with truth and tangible care. This decision to resume abortions reveals that Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin is more concerned with killing preborn children than helping the women they claim to care about.”
Degner added, “Real healthcare protects life and supports mothers. Wisconsin deserves better than a business built on taking life.”
