WAUKESHA, WI — Today, Lt. Governor Sara Rodriguez released the following statement in honor of Veterans Day, recognizing the service and sacrifice of Wisconsin’s veterans and their families:

“Today and every day, we honor the men and women who’ve served our country and the families who’ve stood beside them. As the daughter of a Navy veteran, I know that service doesn’t end when you come home. It means continuing to show up — for your family, your community, and your fellow veterans.

We owe our veterans more than gratitude. We owe them action. That means ensuring access to affordable housing, quality health care, and mental health services that meet their needs. Across Wisconsin, more than 300,000 veterans call our state home, and every single one of them deserves to know their state has their back.”
