Today, Representative Paul Melotik and Representative Dan Knodl visited Grafton High School to present Nic Fullington with a legislative citation in recognition of his recent honor as a 2025 Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence winner. Fullington, the school’s automotive technology teacher, received $15,000 for himself and $35,000 for his program. He is one of only 25 public high school skilled trades teachers nationwide to earn this prestigious award.
This recognition adds to Fullington’s growing list of accomplishments during his five years with the Grafton School District. His students have earned more than $250,000 in scholarships and tools, claimed a national SkillsUSA title, and benefited greatly from his dedication to building strong, meaningful pathways into the skilled trades.
The Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize honors exceptional educators who are shaping the next generation of skilled trades professionals. Fullington’s passion for hands-on learning and commitment to student success continue to make a significant impact on the Grafton community.
“Nic represents the very best of Wisconsin education, he brings energy, expertise, and genuine care to his classroom every single day. The success of his students is a direct reflection of his leadership and dedication. I am proud to recognize him for his outstanding work and the positive difference he makes in our community,” said Representative Paul Melotik.
Congratulations to Nic on this well-deserved recognition!
