Madison- Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu (R-Oostburg) issued the following statement after the state Senate’s floor action today:
“This has been a productive fall session. After delivering the second largest income tax cut in state history during the budget, the Senate moved to stop property tax hikes by repealing Governor Evers’ 400-year veto, lower prices at the store by fighting organized retail theft, and reduce healthcare costs by expanding access to cost effective telehealth services.
“While Democrats push legislation to increase taxes and grow government, Senate Republicans are hyper-focused on lowering costs for hardworking Wisconsin families.”
The Senate’s next scheduled floor period is in January.
