The Beloit branch of the NAACP is proud to announce they will be hosting their 106th annual Freedom Fund Banquet on Friday, December 5th at the Glen Erin Golf Club – Celtic House located at 1417 W Airport Rd in Janesville, WI.

The doors will open at 5:30pm with dinner starting at 6:45pm. This year’s keynote speaker is former Lt. Governor Mandela Barnes.

The Freedom Fund is the NAACP’s main annual fundraiser that goes to fund all the work we do in the community. In 2025 that work included the Juneteenth Taste of Soul Celebration, co-sponsoring City Council and School Board candidate forums, and hosting community events and public speakers like the Wisconsin Legislative Black Caucus Statewide Listening Tour and the Fair Maps Community Hearing. The Beloit NAACP was also proud to support the Mercy Healthcare Workers this year.

Tickets cost $90 and also pays for your annual membership to both the local and national NAACP. Tickets are on sale until the end of Tuesday, the 25th. Anyone interested in purchasing tickets should call (608) 365-1881.
