MADISON, WI – Today, the Wisconsin State Senate Democratic Committee released our first digital ad of the 2026 election cycle, focusing on Senate Democrats’ commitment to making the Badger State more affordable for everyone.

In the ad, titled ‘Aisle 5’, Senators Hesselbein, Keyeski, Pfaff, Smith, and Representative Jenna Jacobson make it clear that Senate Republicans have failed to tackle the affordability crisis in our state despite holding a majority for over a decade. While Republicans cannot be trusted to protect Wisconsinites’ bottom line, Senate Democrats’ Affordable Wisconsin Agenda places the focus solely on easing the burden of cost for families across the state.

Senate Democratic Leader, Dianne Hesselbein, released the following statement on Senate Democrats’ commitment to their Affordable Wisconsin Agenda:

“Data shows us that 65% of Wisconsin families are either struggling, or just getting by. Republicans in the Senate have done nothing to address the rising costs of housing, healthcare, energy, food, and childcare despite over 10 years of holding a majority. It is clear they are not up to the challenge, and that is why Senate Democrats introduced our Affordable Wisconsin Agenda this fall, making it clear to the hardworking men and women of Wisconsin that a Democratic majority means a legislature dedicated to lowering costs and delivering results.”
