The PAC backing Michael Alfonso in the 7th CD is up with a new TV ad that calls him a “working class fighter.”

The Northwoods Future PAC has filed reports with the FEC detailing $852,270 in independent expenditures backing Alfonso, the 25-year-old son-in-law of U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. Along with media buys, the effort also includes mail.

The group first hit the airways in mid-November with a spot that called Alfonso an “America First” conservative.

AdImpact captured the new ad, which began airing yesterday in the northern Wisconsin congressional district. The narrator in the spot says “Washington politicians get rich while Wisconsin gets ignored,” but Alfonso “serves us.”

The narrator says Alfonso will partner with President Donald Trump to ban political insider trading, support constitutional carry, protect homeschoolers and “end woke ideology in classrooms.

“Wisconsin’s working class fighter Michael Alfonso for Congress,” the spot concludes.

Along with Alfonso, Jessi Ebben, who ran for the 3rd CD in 2020, and businessman Paul Wassgren, have filed as Republicans to run for the seat. Kevin Hermening, a former Marathon County GOP chair and a financial adviser, told WisPolitics last month he has decided to run for the seat, but won’t formally launch his campaign until next year.
