Madison… Senator Cory Tomczyk (R-Mosinee) released the following statement after being named Vice-Chair of the newly formed Special Committee on Oversight of the Wisconsin Department of Justice:
“I am honored to be named Vice-Chair of the Special Committee on Oversight of the Wisconsin Department of Justice. This committee was established to ensure that the DOJ is operating with full transparency, independence, and compliance with state law.
“It is the constitutional duty of the Legislature to oversee executive agencies. Wisconsin taxpayers deserve better, and better is a DOJ that works for the people of Wisconsin—not against them. I look forward to working with the other members of the committee to investigate the actions of Attorney General Josh Kaul and his Department.”
