PRAIRIE DU CHEIN, Wisc. – Last week, the Milwaukee Police Association endorsed Congressman Derrick Van Orden in his bid to represent the people of Wisconsin’s Third District for another two years in Congress.

In their endorsement of Congressman Van Orden, Milwaukee Police Association President Alexander Ayala said that, “during these increasingly trying times, the over 1,200 men and women of the Milwaukee Police Association appreciate leaders like you who are willing to stand and be an advocate for Law Enforcement Professionals.”

In response to the Milwaukee Police Association’s endorsement, Congressman Van Orden thanked the police union for its unwavering commitment to serving and protecting the people of Wisconsin.“It is an honor to receive the support of the brave men and women of the Milwaukee Police Association,” Congressman Van Orden said in a statement. “These men and women who protect us no matter the hour or day deserve our utmost respect and thanks, not the growing number of attacks on their persons for putting their lives at risk to keep us safe. Unlike Rebecca Crooke, who supports defunding our police, I will never apologize for backing the blue and supporting our law enforcement community. I will work to ensure our law enforcement officials have the resources and tools they need to protect our communities in Western and Central Wisconsin.”
