Madison – Sen. Bob Wirch (D–Pleasant Prairie) and Rep. Shelia Stubbs (D–Madison) are reintroducing legislation to expand the locations where the Department of Justice encourages the display of human trafficking hotline posters, including lodging establishments, places that serve alcohol, tattoo shops, job recruitment centers, community-based residential facilities, and public and private schools.

“Human trafficking too often goes unseen,” Senator Wirch said. “By increasing the visibility of hotline information in more public places, we can improve the chances that victims know where to turn for help. This proposal received unanimous bipartisan support in an Assembly committee last session, and I’m hopeful we can get it across the finish line this time.”
