Dodgeville, WI – Rep. Todd Novak will seek re-election in 2026. During his time in the Assembly, Todd has proven himself a strong advocate and independent voice for the district. Voters know they can trust Todd to put partisanship aside and get things done that put his constituents first.
“The residents of the 51st Assembly District put their trust in me to address the problems and challenges we face,” said Novak. “Working across the aisle for common sense solutions is how I’ve always approached governing. We’ve been able to accomplish a lot to help address affordability, reduce the tax burden, support education, and reduce healthcare costs.”
This legislative session, Novak worked with Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul to secure permanent funding for the Office of School Safety to keep our kids safe at school. He also successfully fought to create a new program to address growing childcare shortages in rural areas by helping match families with affordable and quality childcare providers. He was also successful in his push to support student mental health adding a provision to the biennial state budget to fund mental health services to students at all University of Wisconsin System schools.
Novak worked with both Republican legislative leaders and Democratic Governor Tony Evers to provide additional funding to support Wisconsin’s dairy industry, helping both farmers and producers alike. Novak also successfully included additional resources for Community Health Centers, and Free and Charitable health clinics throughout Wisconsin to provide high quality healthcare to those most in need.
“I look forward to continuing my work for the district this session and taking that positive record to the voters during the campaign,” added Novak. “Our focus will remain the same: address affordability, budget responsibly and reduce tax burden, improve healthcare access and costs, and continue supporting our schools.”
The residents of the 51st Assembly District have trusted Todd to serve them since his election in 2014. The district covers Lafayette, Iowa, and portions of Grant and Dane counties.
